Claire Rieveldt From The Legend of Heroes

A skilled female officer in the Imperial Army's Railway Military Police. She is one of the "Ironbloods" who act directly under Chancellor Osborne. Although she has a pure and innocent appearance that is unusual for a soldier, her command, processing abilities on par with an Orbal Computer, and her unwavering will allow her to perfectly execute any operation,

Claire can be a cold due tooher nickname "The Icy Maiden", calculating person when on duty. She is devoted to serving Chancellor Giliath Osborne and is especially devoted to her job. However, Claire does display a softer side and likes to watch and protect her juniors from Thors Military Academy. This is especially true of Rean Schwarzer, whom she has a special attachment to after feeling he is similar to her brother.

With a mind as powerful as a computer, she has the ability to comprehend a situation in an instant and calculate complicated trajectories on the fly.

She leads a number of squads across Erebonia's railway network and her cold and calculating demeanor while on the job has earned her the title "Icy Maiden." During the civil war, she assists in the reformation of the Imperial Army and helps Rean and the rest of Class VII when she's able. In recognition of her well-executed counter operation to reclaim Heimdallr from the Noble Alliance.

At the her young age of 25 following the war she was promoted to Major. She is currently in charge of troops throughout the empire, including Crossbell. For the branch campus' field exercises, Claire heads there personally to deliver the Derfflinger.

Despite serving under Osborne, she ended up becoming close with Rean, the old Class VII, and the members of the branch campus. Feeling her debt to the chancellor is too great to ever repay, however, she now follows him fully, standing against her former friends. Adding to the turmoil in her heart is the loss of someone who was like a sister to her and the weight of the guilt she carries for helping lead Rean down the path of destruction.

Upon her defeat, she was even prepared to take her life. She instead, however, returned to the RMP, which severed ties with the government, to help rebuild her nation. With her freedom currently restricted by the RMP, she has thrown herself into work, still blaming herself wholly for the decisions she made.
